I'm currently a junior studying for a B.S. Degree in Computer Science at The George Washington University. I have gained experience in research and development through my research assistant position at the GWUSEC research lab and internship position at Verizon. I am looking for positions in the software and app development field.

Verizon Network Engineering Intern
June 2021 - August 2021

► Internship under the IMS / VoLTE performance team
► Worked with 5G network monitoring KPIs to improve production efficiency of the future 5G network and reduce time in issue resolution
► Improved Grafana dashboards for 5G CNF telemetry metrics and SevOne DataInsights dashboards for IMS/VoLTE
► Learned about the back-end of Verizon’s network and the security measures in place to protect the network
► Communicated with team members to learn how the data is being used and coming up with solutions to best visualize the data

GWUSEC Usable Security and Privacy Research Assistant
August 2020 - May 2021

► Contributed in publishing the research paper "Examining the Examiners: Students' Privacy and Security Perceptions of Online Proctoring Services” under David G. Balash and Dr. Adam J. Aviv (https://arxiv.org/abs/2106.05917)
► Research paper was selected to be presented in the SOUPS 2021 conference
► Assisted in designing a survey sent out to 2,000 faculty and students at the university via Qualtrics
► Performed extensive qualitative analysis on survey data and Chrome web store reviews on exam proctoring services using MAXQDA
► Examined source code of these proctoring services and performing various data collection for the research paper

GWUSEC Undergraduate Research Assistant
February 2020 - August 2020

► Learned different injection attacks (E.g. SQL, XSS, ...) and how to utilize them to find exploits in software and web extensions
► Examined Javascript code of online proctoring services and performed code analysis to examine the category of information the services collect on the user
► Performed qualitative analysis on Chrome web store reviews of online proctoring services using MAXQDA
► Assisted in the research "Exploring Threat Models for Unauthorized Accesses to Locked Smartphones" under Dr. Adam J. Aviv
► Gained experience in designing human subject research experiments and surveys
► Learned different methods of data collection and data visualization creation

Examining the Examiners: Students’ Privacy and Security Perceptions of Online Exam Proctoring
Authors: Dr. Adam J. Aviv and David G. Balash

The goal of this research was to investigate the privacy concerns and attitudes of people before and after taking online exams proctored by these services to develop a better understanding of privacy trade-offs students make to use an exam proctoring services.
